ABOUT US

ALDEN PINES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

WHO WE ARE...   WHAT WE DO...

The Alden Pines Homeowners Association (APHOA) is a non-profit community group created in 1997 for the express purpose of facilitating compliance with the Property Deed of Restrictions governing Alden Pines Subdivision.  This document establishes the standard for construction and property maintenance activities in this platted neighborhood.

The Association works to achieve this compliance through education, cooperation and influence in the community.  APHOA is governed by a set of Association By-Laws, enacted upon via approval by the general membership of the Association.  APHOA's mission is to facilitate a sense of community pride .... because that is what keeps communities vital and property values high.

Through this process the Association also works to create a sense of comaraderie among neighbors.  For many of our Alden Pines residents, the only extended family they have in the area is their neighbors.  That is one reason why the APHOA Board maintains an emergency contact list for any resident who wishes to be included.  It's all about neighbors looking out for neighbors.  APHOA is pleased to be a part of this kind of caring.

Because our Association is primarily a social group, membership is totally voluntary. Any property owner, whether currently residing in the community or not, can elect to become a member of the Association. Current membership dues are $35/year.

The general membership body annually elects a Board of Directors. The standing board has five Members at Large, a Secretary and a Treasurer.  The Board Members select a President from among themselves.  Directors serve staggered terms (ranging from one to five years) to assure continuity on the Board.

There are four standing committees:   Landscape, Communications, Social and Welcoming Committees

The APHOA Board also periodically appoints Ad-Hoc Committees to deal with special issues.  Each committee has an appointed Chair-Person who is responsible for reporting to the Board of Directors on Committee matters.
